Jiayi Lu (b.1996) born in Jinan, Shandong, currently lives and works in Shanghai.

Jia Yi's paintings focus on the spiritual transformation of landscapes. She incorporates fluidity and change into her images through overlapping brushstrokes on layers, with images meeting on the canvas through similarity, aiming to pursue a dual harmony of dispersion and intimacy within a dynamic momentum. The aesthetic of the work draws from Chinese landscape painting, where natural objects are depicted as random arrangements of lines. The gaps between different things and experiences thus reveal a certain ‘seemingly’ communicative quality on the canvas, forming an emotional dwelling place that connects the hidden and fluid social relationships, identities, and memories in reality.

嘉怡的绘画关注风景与自然物的精神性变化。她在图层上用叠加的笔触将流动和变化融入形象，图像通过相似性在画布相遇，旨在一种动势中追求离散和亲密的双重和谐。作品的美学来源于中国山水画，其中自然物被描绘成随机相遇的线条组织，不同事物、经历之间存在的间隙在画布上由此显现出某种“似是而非”的感通性，形成连接现实中隐秘而流动的社会关系、身份与记忆间的情感居所。
